Hybrid to debut new Mimaki technology at Sign & Digital UK
Exclusive UK and Irish Mimaki distributor, Hybrid Services is to host the debut of three new products at this year’s Sign & Digital UK exhibition, held at the NEC in Birmingham from 2 – 4 April 2019.
Mimaki’s recently announced metallic LED UV ink will be on show for the first time on a Mimaki UJF-7151plus, enabling the production of high-end graphics for packaging, small to mid-format signage and bespoke décor and giftware. “The addition of a metallic ink to Mimaki’s line-up of LED UV flatbed printers offers significant revenue generating opportunities for graphics professionals to leverage,” states Hybrid’s Chief Operations Manager, Brett Newman. “Hybrid will be demonstrating the creative potential and breadth of possibilities this exciting new technology presents to visitors to the exhibition.”
A further innovative ink will also be unveiled at the exhibition in the form of a clear option for the hugely popular UCJV300 Series LED UV printer/cutters. The addition of clear to the LUS-170 range of inks offers a host of new design possibilities and expands business opportunities by creating captivating displays using gloss, matte or textured finishes. “Utilising flexible UV inks that cure instantly allows customers to quickly print and immediately deliver the finished product without waiting for drying,” states Newman. “The UCJV printers also feature white ink, enabling users to produce brilliant colours on transparent, coloured or metallic substrates. The introduction of clear ink also places the UCJV300 series into the prototyping and packaging environment.”
Underlining the variety of technologies available to view on Hybrid’s stand, a third important debut is of the high performance Mimaki TS55 dye sublimation printer. With its first showing at a UK exhibition, the 1.9m transfer paper printer is ideally suited to companies producing soft signage, retail graphics, fashion and sportswear and benefits from a winning combination of low running costs and high productivity.
