Merry Christmas from all the team at Hybrid

The following information contains all you need to know regarding preparing your Mimaki for an extended break, our opening hours and the charity we’re supporting. 

This year, Hybrid is again supporting Cancer Research UK over the Christmas period. In addition to sending Christmas cards we are also donating directly to the charity. 

 

Christmas 2017 Opening Hours 

General Opening Hours / Order Shipping 

Hybrid will be closing for the Christmas break at 5.30pm on Thursday 21st December 2017. The office will remain closed until 9am on Tuesday 2nd January 2018.

Therefore, the last day for placing consumable orders to arrive before Christmas will be Thursday 21st December for delivery on Friday 22nd December.

The last day for First Class Royal Mail despatch will also be Thursday 21st December.

 

Technical Support 

In the first instance, you should contact your reseller to receive technical support, however, Hybrid will be providing skeleton, telephone based support; available on our usual number. 

Preparing your Mimaki for an extended break 

With most companies expecting to shut down for an extended break over Christmas, Hybrid is keen to ensure your machines are properly prepared, so that come January, they don’t present technical problems as a result of incorrect procedures being carried out. This information is current as of December 2017.

 When not using a machine for an extended period of time you should do one of two things:

  1. Leave the machine on standby. Only turn off the machine at the front panel, leave the power switches at the side of the machine turned on as this is better for circulation. It is also advised to turning off any heaters (if available on machine), because they are unnecessary and could turn into a hazard without appropriate supervision.

  2. Perform Custody Wash as described in the operation manual. For all machines, there is a section in the operation manual “When the machine is not used for a long time (Custody Wash)” which can typically be found in Chapter 4 – Maintenance.
