LetsDoMore - Rebate Linked Cartridge Recycling

E-mail Print

Take the waste out; put some thought in.

Be part of something big - Hybrid's unique rebate linked solvent ink cartridge recycling scheme: Let's Do MORE!

U1-LDM-bus
Hybrid estimate that this year alone, 40 tonnes of ink cartridges could be taken out of land-fill and recycled into new products. That’s the weight of nearly six London buses, unnecessarily filling up our land, taking decades to degrade and containing plastics, metals and inks.

In the printing industry it’s difficult to tackle the desire to print to the likes of poly vinyl chloride with solvent inks and there’s no getting away from the fact that even eco solvent inks still contain solvent. We’ve got a great choice of aqueous and UV curing solutions, but typically there’s still the requirement to over laminate, print to petrochemical or plastic based substrates — with all these processes using cartridges of ink to fulfil them.

At Hybrid, we think we can all do a lot more and ‘MORE’ is all about delivering real world solutions to real world problems. We’ll recycle your spent cartridges and you can earn new ones every time you send one back — simple.

All eligible cartridges feature the Hybrid ‘MORE’  label, meaning they’re both recyclable and valid for our points scheme as well.

How Does it Work?

U1-LDM-recycleHybrid Services Ltd has become the first wide format printer supplier to introduce a fully inclusive ink cartridge recycling scheme linked to customer incentives. Hybrid’s ‘MORE’ programme benefits both the Mimaki printer owner and the environment with an innovative approach to a distributor led recycling scheme.

As Mimaki’s exclusive UK distributors, Hybrid are the first wide format supplier to introduce a recycling scheme that not only doesn’t cost you anything, but benefits you financially as well as emotionally and environmentally. Return your used cartridges to us, earn points for each one and we’ll send you a new cartridge of your choice, completely free of charge. Our environmental waste management partners dispose of any residual ink, then recycle the 5 component parts of each cartridge - be they metal, plastic or rubber.

Not only is Hybrid bearing the cost of such a huge programme, but through ‘MORE’ Hybrid will give you a rebate for every cartridge sent back to us.

What to do next:

Simply register your details on this website and you’ll become part of the scheme - doing more and earning money at the same time. It’s easy for you to administrate but we’re on hand to provide advice and tips if you need us.

All eligible cartridges feature the Hybrid ‘MORE’ label, meaning they’re both recyclable and valid for our points scheme as well. Arranging collection of your cartridges – as easy as 1, 2, 3 You need to have put your cartridges to one side in batches of 45. Only those cartridges displaying the ‘MORE’ sticker are eligible for collection, recycling and rebate.

When you are ready for us to collect your cartridges, please ensure you have:

1. Registered for the scheme (see the 1st tab below), and then

2. Completed and submitted the Cartridge Return Form (see the 2nd tab below)

3. Printed the email you will have received back and placed it with your cartridges following your request for collection.

If you have already saved Mimaki cartridges of a similar type, but without the ‘MORE’ label; while they may still be recyclable and can be collected with your labelled cartridges, they unfortunately don’t qualify for rebate as part of the scheme. For obvious environmental reasons, we will typically try to consolidate collection of your ‘MORE’ labelled cartridges with other jobs in your area, so please place them to one side awaiting confirmed collection.

Simple as 1, 2, 3!

3: Enjoy the benefits!

U1-LDM-recycle

The benefits of doing more.

Thank you for being part of this hugely successful recycling scheme. We're proud of everyone's commitment and the benefits are twofold.

First and foremost - thank you for doing the right thing - keeping cartidges out of landfill, disposing of waste ink correctly and recycling the component parts. It's a big commitment from us and it takes a lot of time and effort to do, but we know the advantages are worth it.

U1-LDM-grassSecondly - we're paying you for your part in the programme - you'll get a valuable ink rebate in return for your spent cartridges. Getting paid for doing the right thing - it can't be bad!

What happens next?

We'll let you know by email when we're coming to collect the cartridges - but in order for us to manage the programme in as eco friendly way as possible, it could be up to four weeks from us receiving your request to collect.

Once we've collected and processed your cartridges, we'll let you know by email as well. Your replacement cartridge(s) will then typically be added onto your next ink order - free of charge. You just need to let your reseller know when you place your order with them that you'd like to take advantage of your free cartridge. Alternatively, we'll send your new cartridge via courier after approximately four weeks.

Please don't rely on your replacement ink as 'stock' - as we can't guarantee exactly when you'll receive it.
